Melusine is a pretty, young looking, witch verging on her 1000th birthday (within a few decades) but still appearing somewhere from 18 to 20 years old.
She had been sleeping in a forgotten medieval ruin for centuries. This was the result of one of her best friend potions. This friend was renowned for her numerous fumbles…
She was awoken last year by the noise of bulldozers: some rich texan millionaire had bought her castle as a present to his N+1th wife. The destruction of the castle killed both her former employers who happened to be a ghost and a vampire.Since then, she had been seen wandering the skies on her broom in search of a new home.
The peasants around La Clinique asked Prof Wright to do something about this unnatural phenomenon. Taken by surprise, the young magician was quickly captured.

Prof Simon studied her for some days but saw she intended no evil so he decided to let her go. At first, Melusine was enraged to have been captured, but upon seeing the limited physical condition of Prof. Wright, her heart melted and she forgave everything. She even asked to be allowed to re-experience the XS machine from time to time, as a means of research, and she applied for the vacant job of chemist. It must be noted that she had complained about being abducted, and had not said a word against being put through X stimulation.

Her knowledge of all kind of potions would have been invaluable to La Clinique but Prof Simon Wright was initially unsure of accepting her application. He was convinced, however, by her tremendous abilities as a spell caster because he hopes to include magic in his "unified theory of existence".
He might also have been convinced by her beautiful pleading eyes and her distress for having lost friends and home, but he won't admit it.

She seems to fit in oddly with the other people at the clinic. As a practitioner of magic, she still feels upset when confronted to technology, but her natural curiosity is balancing this.
She is in charge of the Pharmacopea and makes the products that the Nursybs inject to the patients. Her speciality has always been love potions, but she has been told to take this easy.
