XS treatment

The XS machine is, in my opinion and in the opinion of many a woman here, Prof Simon's greatest invention.
The idea came to him after encountering a space adventuring girl named Barbarella.
She had been exposed to a primitive form of stimulation by X-waves at the hands of a somewhat perverted person who had abducted her. He was known as "Le Concierge" and he wanted to kill Barbarella by overstimulating her through a device called "the excessive machine".
Fortunately, he failed in the attempt although it is unclear if he finally released Barbarella or if she made the machine malfunction, being able to bear much more stimulation than this man ever thought possible.
Women can always take more X-stimuli than men. This one of the reasons why the only patients accepted here are women.
Anyway while Barbarella had survived her ordeal physically, the primitive X machinery had badly hurt her psyche. She became an addict to X-stimulation, wandering the galaxy in search of anything that could fulfil her obsession.
When Prof Simon Wright encountered her (in circumstances he has refused to talk about), he thought it over and, finally, drew the plans for what was to be known as the XS machine.
Barbarella helped him a lot with field testing and fine tuning of the device.
After years of development, the XS machine was ready at last. Prof Simon then undertook the task of breaking Barbarella's X-stimuli addiction. It took him a long time, but he was finally successful.
With such good results, Pr Simon decided to settle and open a clinic to bring his invention to the world. In tribute to the precursor of this innovative form of treatment, this clinic was called "La Conciergerie".
Barbarella is now cured of her obsession, but she keeps coming quite often to La Clinique to talk about the good old days with Pr Simon, and to get a pass to the XS machine.

Barbarella thanks Pr Simon for his help.

To be honest, I would be at a complete loss to explain its principles to you. This will be left to Prof. Simon if you agree to a demonstration.
All I know is that the XS machine stimulate the patient's own X biorythm. The purpose of this is to achieve harmony between her body and psyche. While she gets stimulated to higher and higher degrees, her problems leave her consciousness and she is left with only pleasing thoughts.
The second stage of the program is to disconnect the initial trauma from the present feelings. This is achieved by augmenting the frequency and duration of the sessions over the course of several weeks.
Then, the initial trauma is wiped out during several sessions where X-stimulation is raised to the maximum level the patient has proved to endure and then letting her remain at this level for hours, sometimes days in extreme cases.
This may seem a bit excessive, but it is far less brutal than the electroshocks that are routinely used in conventional psychiatric departments.
No patient have ever complained, most being grateful to the professor to have unveiled new possibilities to them.
The only risk in the therapy program is at the end of the treatment, when the sessions get fewer and more far between. The XS treatment has a proven addictive risk to it, and all the staff is trained to watch the symptoms of withdrawal. In some cases, it can take several months before patients can be allowed to go back home. Sometimes old patients come again for another period of treatment.

In short, XS treatment, although not a cure-all, has proven its effectiveness to heal many psychological disorders.
We have recorded one such successful treatment during all its stages. The patient was an american superheroine who operated under the name "Dagger". The video is specially available to you in the archives of the underground monitoring room.
