Research & Development Personnel

The Research and Development Division is run by my former assistants from my pre-Institute days at Infinite Horizons, Inc.
Left to Right: Eudial, Mimette, Tellu, Cyprine, Viluy
Following the disolution of Infinite Horizons, Inc. they accompanied
me in joining the newly founded Chainsman Institute. However while we initially continued to work together as my duties changed to encompass less laboratory experimentation their talents were being wasted on assisting me with administrative matters best left to the White Delmos. So since they were all skilled technicians they were all subsequently reassigned to our expanding Research and Development wing. The work is not glamorous but it is essential. When looking at our impressive technical achievements it's easy to forget all the painstaking trial and error experimental work that was required to make all of it operational so that the initial trials could begin. Or the further work often required to correct flaws that were discovered during those trials. Fortunately for us they excel in this very detailed and time consuming work and proved to be the best candidates for these positions. However some have claimed that since they rarely have time to participate in the social side of the Institute such as Pranking and as no one dares to Prank them (except on Prank Day which the last few years has involved everyone) for fear of earning demerits for interupting their experiments that they lack the traditional Institute spirit. But this is simply not the case. As an example not long after the Institute opened my (then) assistants decided they all looked drab in comparison to the other staff members uniforms so they traded in their lab coats for the highly individualistic outfits they still wear.
Also they are not above becoming more closely involved with their experiments than necessary when the end results look like they'll be fun. Like the time they decided to try out the (then) newly developed Beta Latex.
The upshot of which is that I've never considered them to be uninterested in the world around them despite their heavy workload and I'm still proud of them all. Incidentally while I rarely work with them on experiments these days I haven't abandoned my own experimental work. For example I'm currently completing the trials for my Latex Splicing technology.

Back to the Technical Staff

Would you care to meet any of our other support staff? The other two Departments are the Orderlies, Maintenance and Administrative Personnel and the Security Department Perhaps you'd like to interview a member of our involuntary patient acquisition team Our medical staff agree we've got a great support staff to aid them in their work. Would you like to meet the folks who rely on the support staff? Perhaps you'd like a word with our Training Staff, they keep all the Support Staff up to date on our latest innovations Would you like to meet our Physical Trainers and see the Gym? Perhaps you'd like to drop by the recreational lounge where we hold our staff parties Or would you rather hear the scoop on our advances in humane capture technology Alternately some visitors have been fascinated by the specifics of our patient restraint and control equipment Others have wanted to hear all about our use of robotics Then there are those who were more interested in the human interest angle of our friendly staff rivalries If you insist we could take a look at our underground high security storage facility Of course you can always return to the Open Wards Finally there's one more option. The place most everyone wants to see.

Do you still want to see the Grimbor Ward?

If you really want you can return to the Lobby
