Administrative Staff Overseers

Sprocket (Day Shift) & Mei Ling (Night Shift)

It was recently decided that in order to improve the efficancy of our
middle management and clerical staff (aka the Whites) that experienced
managers were needed. To that end we selected the best two candidates who
applied for the position and hired Sprocket to handle the Day Shift and Mei
Ling to handle the Night Shift.
Both had excellent qualifications and a record of frustration in their
previous positions where their managerial skills shone through despite the
best efforts of their fellow employees. In Sprocket's case she was looking for
a change from the extreme incompetence of their fellow employees in the Jadow
Group. She's often joked that idiot proofing a procedure doesn't work if your
fellow employees can't even achieve idiocy and settle for being utterly
clueless.
In Mei Ling's case she got tired of her fellow Philantrophy employees
taking her efforts to achieve nearly impossible tasks for granted and then
ignoring the metaphorical content of the proverbs she quoted or insisting on a
literal interpretation which resulted some unfortunate outcomes. Tired of
telling people that those who forget history are doomed to repeat it she
looked around for a new opportunity and sent her resume to the Institute.
And the rest is history.
The shifts they were assigned were based on their past experience. Most
of Jadow's activities took place during the day while most often Mei Ling
worked nights while at Philanthropy. Despite working different shifts they
have got together to work on several joint initiatives. Most notably on their
push to introduction of the S.E.A.T. units as replacements for the cubicles
used by the clerical staff. While developed some time ago the S.E.A.T.s had
been left at the prototype testing stage for much longer than necessary due to
objections by the secretaries. However by working closely together Mei Ling
and Sprocket convinced their staff to accept the S.E.A.T. as the standard
workstation and the Executive Board to fund their mass production and the
introduction of S.E.A.T.s into the White office spaces.
Both of them have adapted well to the Institute lifestyle and are glad to
have made clean breaks to come here. Though Sprocket has reported that the
Institute has one thing in common with her former employer. To date we have
also been unable to get her a uniform that fits properly.

Let's continue the tour shall we?
