A longtime student of the martial arts Hitomi studied them extensively
in Germany and having surpassed her teachers was judged to be among the elite
capable of participating in the "Dead Or Alive" Tournaments. She competed in
the Third "Dead Or Alive" Tournament and while she didn't win she made an
impressive show of her martial arts prowess.
After the tournament she was looking for a way to put her talents to
good use and saw our advertisment seeking an unarmed combat instructor to take
charge of our Black Delmos retraining. Initially we intended the postion to
be temporary but given the incredible ineptitude displayed by the Black Delmos
despite Hitomi's best efforts we decided some changes were in order.
Hitomi was offered and accepted the newly created position as head of the
Black Delmos which gave her the authority she had lacked as a combat trainer
and ensured they couldn't dodge her classes by swapping shifts or other means.
It also gave her more opportunity to interact with them to learn why they have
such trouble learning from her and how to reverse the entrenched culture of
defeat that has developed among the Black Delmos.
Hitomi is still hard at work attempting to build both their morale and
fighting skills. Which she admits is an uphill battle since they seem to
have an uncanny ability to quickly forget every move she teaches them in the
gym and have even gone so far in anticipating being overpowered in every
serious battle as to develop their own mmmph based "language" so they can
communicate while bound and gagged.
However Hitomi is hardly a quitter and has vowed to turn them back into
an effective combat trained force or die trying.
There's some nervousness among the Black Delmos due to the ambiguity of
exactly who she expects to die trying in the event of failure and Hitomi isn't
about to clear the air since she thinks it'll help motivate them to succeed.
Time will tell if she's right about this approach but we wish her the
best of luck
