It's time for a quick report on the 2005 Staff Christmas Party by your
number one reporter and party girl Maya Ibuki!
I was wondering how we'd top last year's event but Pheobe took charge and
she didn't disappoint. For a theme for the party's Christmas Display she
picked "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" by Hans Christian Andersen.
You remember the story? It's the one about the tin soldier who falls in
love with a paper cutout ballerina and it has one of those tragic but romantic
endings that I love to cry over.
Anyway to bring this display to life Pheobe used her Latex Splicing
technique to reconfigure herself and her volunteers into the display figures.
At least I talked to Ishy before the party and I know she was eager to
participate and everyone else in the display disappeared after they finished
their shifts the night before the party so since they can't talk now we've got
to take Pheobe's word that they volunteered.
Actually of the 12 soldiers in the display only 11 are spliced. The lead
soldier and star of the story standing by Ishy the mannequin spliced Ballerina
is actually Tasha inside a "maid mold" body restraint since she's got some of
weird immunity to being spliced. But they did a good job on the outer shell
so you can't tell her from the other spliced soldiers who have been literally
transformed to look that way. The only way you can tell is the faint "mmmph"
noises you can hear from Tasha if you put your ear to her bodyshell's head.
Anyway it looks Pheobe's willing to go farther when testing the Latex
Splicing on herself that she is on her test subjects. After transforming
herself to latex she had heself stretched and melted to form herself into
the evil Jack In The Box who causes the tragedy that destroys both the soldier
and the ballerina. I know she'll snap back to normal when the process is
reversed but right now she gives off a weird and creepy aura which is perfect
to her character.
The way I understand it once the party's done and we head home to our
families for the holidays Ivy will transform her back to normal. After which
I'm sure they'll zap the soldiers back to normal and turn they loose. Ivy had
to be joking about them having some new toys to play with on Christmas
morning.
...
Hey, you don't suppose it was more than coincidence that everyone picked
for transformation, like Margrave and Ishy, doesn't have families and had
no real plans for the holiday?
Nah, I'm getting paranoid and you've got to watch that around here unless
you want to wind up as a patient.
Besides I'm sure that while she might get wild while latexed Pheobe
wouldn't make anyone do anything they're unwilling to go along with. After
all that wouldn't be in the spirit of the season and Pheobe's a big fan of
this holiday. So let's just enjoy the party and the great display and bask
in the warmth and friendship of the holiday season.
